Become an International Jury Member

Judge international competitions, contribute your expertise, and build a documented professional record.

Reviewed individually by the Curatone.art committee. Jury service is free of charge after approval.

Curatone.art invites established artists, curators, and industry professionals to join our prestigious jury panel. Serving as a juror for an international competition is not only a contribution to the arts, it is a significant milestone that confirms your status as an expert in the global creative community.

Fair selection & quality standards

MANDATORY PRE-SELECTION

To maintain the integrity of our exhibitions, all potential jurors undergo a mandatory pre-selection process. Qualification requirements are high and identical for all applicants.

Approval first
We review every CV and portfolio individually. Approved applicants are invited to judge free of charge.
Professional integrity
Selection is based solely on your achievements and expertise. Optional services play no role in selection or scoring.

Qualification criteria

Appointment to the jury board is based on several key pillars.

Extensive experience in the visual arts, design, or curatorial practice, typically 10+ years.

Prestigious awards (Red Dot, IDA, or equivalent) and membership in recognized professional associations (IAA/AIAP, NAWA).
03
Advanced degrees in Fine Arts or related disciplines, and a history of pedagogical or research activity.

Jury service

FREE AFTER APPROVAL

Approved applicants are invited to judge an international competition at no cost. This includes:

Judging access
You evaluate submissions using the standard scoring protocol.
Public record
Your name, country, and professional title are listed among the jury in the published results of the competition you judge.

No payment is required at any stage to serve as a juror or to appear in the published jury list.

Optional documentation & publication services

OPTIONAL · PAID

For members who want their jury service formally documented or their profile professionally presented, we offer optional paid services. These services cover the editorial, design, and administrative work involved. They are not required for jury service and do not affect selection or scoring.

Documentation Package
Digital Certificate of Jury Service and formal Invitation Letter.
Exhibition Judging Report, describing the competition, jury methodology, and your role.
Extended profile with photo and full biography on the Jury page of curatone.art.
Your profile featured in the exhibition catalog, assigned a DOI and published on Amazon.
Prices are provided after approval. Services can be ordered at any time, including after you have completed a judging round.
NOTE
Applications are always free to submit, and judging itself is free of charge. Optional documentation and publication services are available for a fee, which covers the editorial and administrative work involved in preparing them.
Merit & peer recognition

The selection process

STAGE 01
Peer review
Current jury members, established experts and award winners, review the candidate's portfolio and cast votes.
STAGE 02
Majority vote
A candidate must receive a majority of positive votes from this peer group to be considered.
STAGE 03
Final decision
The Project Director reviews the board's recommendation and makes the final appointment.
The status of a juror is earned through excellence and is never conditioned on payment. Optional paid services cover documentation and publication work only.

Application review
All applications are reviewed by the committee. The decision to approve or decline is final. Approved applicants receive a judging invitation and, separately, information about optional documentation services.

Publish with us
Curatone Art & Research Journal welcomes research articles, visual essays, and critical writing on contemporary art and design. Submission and publication are free of charge, and every submission is assessed on its own merit through editorial review.
