Viktorika is a professional artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Arts of Ukraine (2003–2008). In 2014, she also completed a Photography School in Ukraine. She is a member of the ACA – Association des Amis de Jean, an organization that unites artists and promotes contemporary art and cultural exchange.

Viktorika

Viktorika is a contemporary artist whose practice unfolds at the intersection of concept, emotion, and material exploration. Her work approaches art as a visual and intellectual laboratory, where color and matter become a language of their own. She is a finalist of the Moments of Life competition at Curatone.art, where her work stood out for its depth, sensitivity, and conceptual clarity.

Each artwork reflects a demanding level of craftsmanship and a constant process of experimentation. Through textures, contemporary techniques, and refined chromatic choices, Viktorika creates immersive visual environments that invite the viewer into a bold and contemporary artistic universe. Lost in code

Born in Ukraine and currently living and working on the French Riviera, Viktorika conceives art as a space where ideas transform into sensory and intellectual experiences. Her practice explores subtle tensions between matter and symbol, tradition and contemporaneity, collective memory and individual perception.

Before beginning a new series, she engages in extensive research: studying art history, examining cultural traditions, analyzing heritage symbols, visiting museums, and working with archival materials. This conceptual rigor forms the foundation of each body of work, giving rise to a distinct aesthetic and philosophical universe in which the pictorial gesture becomes an act of reflection.

Her artistic language ranges from meditative abstraction to reinterpretations of ancestral motifs and investigations of contemporary perception. This diversity reflects her belief that art must embrace complexity and mirror the layered nature of human experience. Each series exists as an independent microcosm, with its own rhythm, textures, and visual logic, while remaining connected by a shared pursuit of material intensity, conceptual depth, and universal emotion.

Viktorika’s works are held in private collections across the United States, Ukraine, France, and Poland, and her practice continues to gain international recognition through solo and group exhibitions in both public and private spaces. Beyond the studio, she actively participates in art festivals, competitions, curatorial projects, and charitable initiatives, which she views as essential platforms for dialogue and social transformation.

Venus Reassembled

Title: Venus Reassembled Series: Influence Dimensions: 120 × 80 cm Medium: Collage, acrylic, epoxy resin, plexiglass on canvas Who is she — this new Venus, reborn not from the sea, but from the glossy pages of modern desire? In this work, the artist revisits Botticelli’s Birth of Venus — the timeless image of purity, grace, and natural beauty — and overlays it with a delicate yet unsettling collage made from magazine cutouts and fragments of contemporary media. From a distance, the form remains familiar, even classical. But as the viewer draws closer, the surface reveals itself to be a mosaic of fashion, advertising, and illusion. Layer by layer, the goddess is covered — reshaped by the ideals imposed upon her. Her skin, once luminous and human, is replaced by printed perfection. Her presence, once divine, becomes curated. This modern Venus embodies the silent transformation of women in the age of influence: when beauty, instead of being born, is assembled; when identity becomes a collage of what society deems desirable. Through this dialogue between past and present, the painting asks: What remains of authenticity when the image of beauty is rewritten by imitation? Adam and Eve — no longer in a garden, but in a pixelated void. Their bodies are rendered in stark black and white, devoid of color, contour, or certainty. They are not born of flesh and light, but of pixels and absence, suspended in a space where identity dissolves into data. In Adam, luminous symbols of currency rain from above — dollar signs, euros, yen — cascading down a dark digital backdrop like a code dripping through consciousness. In Eve, glowing logos of global brands replace leaves and whispers: fashion, beauty, power — sleek icons of desire. The dark background shimmers with embedded light — each canvas subtly wired with an internal glow. When connected to a power source, the paintings emit a gentle luminescence, bringing the coded symbols to life in a ghostly digital rain. The contrast between the monochrome figures and their radiant environment deepens the tension between substance and illusion. Together, these works form a contemporary Genesis — one not of creation, but of erasure. In the pursuit of wealth, approval, status, and consumption, the figures have lost their color, their definition, their essence. They are outlines of humanity — recognizable, but fading. Une jeune femme se replie sur elle-même — non pas simplement en position fœtale, mais dans la forme d’un cœur humain. Un geste de retour, un réflexe de protection instinctive. Nue, fragile et silencieuse, elle est entourée de bulles de savon translucides — à l’intérieur desquelles flottent les symboles lumineux de l’approbation numérique : cœurs, « likes », pouces levés. Facebook. Instagram. Échos de l’attention. Le fond, d’un rose doux et apaisant, semble presque tendre, mais les icônes y dérivent comme un pollen synthétique, envahissant, persistant. Ces bulles, délicates et enfantines, portent pourtant le poids du jugement contemporain. Cette peinture évoque la tension entre notre visibilité numérique et notre invisibilité émotionnelle.
