About the artist

Flora White is a multi-disciplinarian artist mainly known and recognized as a humanitarian painter. She paints people in various contexts but above all she enjoys depicting emotions, evoking both the beauty and the hardships of the human condition. Mrs. White has been painting since childhood. She executed her first commission work at the age of twelve but it was only recently, in 2018, that she became free to devote full-time to her art. She is a member of AIM (Artists in Montreal). Flora has many solo and collective exhibits to her active, as well as several art symposium participations. Other than Canada, her work has been presented in Europe and more recently, on a giant billboard on New York’s Times Square. She was published in several printed books & magazines locally & internationally as well as many newspapers. She was awarded various local & international prizes, grant and mentions, both for her paintings and photography, namely a grant by the Desjardins group. She was awarded multiple prizes in Quebec, one in Italy and more recently, she's earned a first place in the category "Orientalism" in the International Californian competition "Collector's choice awards 2026" as well as a third place in a main category "Acrylic figure". In September, she will be awarded the Renoir international prize in Cannes and her work will be presented at the Monaco ART3F art fair.
